Small town mayor uses Facebook to communicate during state of emergency

Western Kentucky Mayor Will Cox of Madisonville was featured in the Lexington Herald online for using facebook to communicate during the state of emergency. I added him last night for extra info even though most does not directly relate to me. Nice thinking outside the box to relay info since most are without Internet and cable. Those who have mobile facebook are relaying info via phone and text. Work is slow but he is letting the locals know where and when crews are working so they know work is being done and where to avoid driving.

Good job Mayor Cox!

27 now dead in Kentucky

Good thing it's just ordinary white folk in a red state or the media might make a big deal out of it. Bluegrass Politics reports that FEMA head says federal reimbursement is still in the works? WTF?

Senior citizens found dead hugging hot water heaters here.
