United Kingdoms overburdened NHS may be saved!

'Dr Death' sells euthanasia kits in UK for £35

Testing kits that allow people to check the strength of drugs they have bought in order to commit suicide are to be sold in the UK by one of the world's leading advocates of euthanasia.

Dr Philip Nitschke, an Australian physician known as Dr Death for his enthusiastic promotion of a person's right to take his own life, believes the UK is a suitable place to run a trial of the kits, which he has been developing in his laboratory. But Nitschke's actions have revived concerns that healthy elderly and vulnerable people will end up killing themselves in the belief that they have become a burden to their families.

Screw it up and you may well wish you were dead when you wake up with that tube.

Now a public service message:

When squirrels attack

Workers ordered to walk in pairs as protection against furry fiends

Staff at a UK hospital have been ordered to wear protective headgear and carry an umbrella as a weapon after aggressive squirrels attacked a district nurse.

The hospital also wants workers to walk in pairs amid fears a rampaging squirrel could knock someone unconscious.

The rodents reportedly struck while the nurse was making a home visit to a farm in Langley Park, County Durham.

Okay I am curious what kind of headgear?

NHS cutting edge stupidity costing UK

Surgeons who leave operating equipment inside patients cost NHS £9m

Patients who leave operating theatres with surgical equipment accidentally left inside them are being awarded millions of pounds in compensation.

About two people a week find surgeons have left behind foreign objects such as surgical swabs, clips and screws, according to Government figures released after a Freedom of Information request.

And with the average victim pocketing £17,900, the mistakes have cost the NHS a total of £9million over the past five years, with payouts made to more than 550 patients.

Experts suggest the level of claims is just the tip of the iceberg, as many people do not discover a mistake unless it causes a problem, often years later.

Another example of quality from British NHS

New mother forced to travel 200 miles between four hospitals to give birth... only to see her premature twins split up

An expectant mother was ferried 250 miles between four different hospitals only to have one of her twins separated as soon as they were delivered.

Angela Breeds, 30, was told she needed a Caesarian section when doctors discovered one of her unborn babies was too small and not getting enough nutrition.

But what should have been the most thrilling moment of her life turned into a five-day ordeal because the hospitals either did not have the right scanning equipment or incubators needed.

I will gladly pay my premiums thank you very much.

But look at this stunner in the comments:

Bed occupancy in neontal intensive care units is unpredictable and the same saga can happen anywhere. The doctors have done their best to ensure safe deliveries of the twins. Cogratulation Miss Breeds and I do not think it is tiring to shuttle between the 2 hospitals to see your babies.

Thanks for your input Ali. I'm sure you don't think its a hardship at all.
