Bad news is good news for ethanol

Henderson ethanol plant scrapped

A long-discussed corn-to-ethanol project in Henderson is dead, but another alternative energy project -- perhaps converting garbage into gasoline -- could take its place

Subsidizing the ethanol business is a huge waste of taxpayer dollars. Converting garbage to gas? That should smell great right down from the big chicken plant.

Seeing as how the site sits right by the river and conveniently located next a brand new coal mine how about coal to fuel plant for the Air Force?
